Im sick of trying to decide what to have for dinner every night lol. I would love for my fiance to decide or at least tell me what they want every now and again! Are you the decicision maker on your nightly dinners? Do you get sick of it or do you get some help?

Oh tell me about it!!! I am absolutely sick of having to make the decision of what is for dinner!!!! I can't tell you how many times I have called my partner and asked what he wanted for dinner. And I always get the response, "Whatever you want to make." or "Whatever you decide." There have been nights that I have gotten so sick of being the one that has to decide, I refused to make dinner! LOL My partner came home and asked what was for dinner...and I responded with, "I couldn't decide." or "There wasn't anything I wanted here." LOL With time of doing this and refusing to cook...he has caught on that on those days...he needs to decide what he wants to do about dinner or everyone will just eat sandwiches or ramen noodles. ha ha Doesn't mean that I don't have to make those decisions still...because I do and it still is irritating. But I have given myself an escape from time to time. ha ha

I am the one to decide what we eat. On occassion, my husband will ask what I have planned, and ask if I could make something else and he will tell me what he was in the mood for. So, I will do it.

I can be though since now I am working nights I get a nice surprise most evenings when I get home. He is a pretty good cook. The kids think I cook better though since I don't tend to do the same thing very often. On the weekend or when we are both home it is kind of a decision made by committee. I would eat totally different if I didn't have the house full like I do. This is fun while it lasts though.

I usually make the decision, with imput from the rest of the family. I do the cooking, so I figure out what to make. I'll usually ask 'what does everyone feel like having for dinner?' and figure out if people want red meat or white and then just go from there. Like this morning everyone said Chinese food sounded good, so I'm doing sweet and sour chicken, donburi, fried rice, curry croquettes, egg rolls, wontons and steamed buns.

I do during the week what we will be eating. My hubby takes over on the weekends. He loves to cook too so that is a big help. I have run out of ideas in the past. But I just get out my recipes and see what I am in the mood for. We also have a crockpot so that is a big help. Prepare it the night before, put it in the fridge, and next morning take it out and turn on the crockpot. 8 hours later we are ready to eat.

I ask my 3yr old LOL... Other than that I decide whats for dinner every night, being on a diet, its prolly best that way. Yes it gets annoying, but whatever, you do what you gotta do.. And plus, if i decide that means i get what I want.. lol

I've always been the primary dinner decision maker in our home too. I guess it makes sense because I'm the one preparing the meals. The thing is, I'm not the only one eating and don't want to spend my time and efforts preparing something that my family will complain about. I grocery shop weekly so now, when I'm making my list, I ask everyone to name one meal they would like. We eat out once per week. That only leaves me with 1/2 as many meals to come up with!

I am always the one who has to decide, shop for, and prepare dinner. Every once in a great while, my husband will pick a resturant but usually he leaves it up to me. I am okay with that because I love getting my way :)
