I'm a newbie here and i justed made my first post several minutes ago. It was a response to a discussion regarding atheism and morality. Curiously, after I've posted it, the site placed my post on interestshobbies that I enjoyreligion. I'm not really familiar how myLot categorizes the interests section, but this led to think about how religion fits in our lives. Is it merely a "hobby" to enjoy? I live in the Philippines, a dominantly Catholic country. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), most of them are (whether they like to admit it or not) Catholics only by name, that is, they seem to take their belief as some sort of a hobby. Im not saying that they're a bunch of hypocrites, it's just that they don't take the "official" tenets of their religion that seriously. As an agnostic, I personally don't have anything against that. In fact, I'm quite happy that such a "moderate" view of religion keeps them from becoming car-bombing fanatics. What for you is the best way to view religion? Is it a lifestyle, a goal in life, or a hobby to enjoy?
