this near walkout thing reminds me of the match about 3 weeks ago in Singapore, where Thailand also left the field for 15 mins, apparently unpleased with the referee's decision. I feel that whether the decision is right or wrong, walking out is unsportmanship, something that is a big disgrace to soccer. Furthermore, on a pitch the referee's decision is final.

It was pathetic of Lille to walk off, very childish. They should be heavily reprimanded - but they won't because sporting authorities are incredibly weak when something like this happens. Also, I now read that Lille have registered a complaint against the goal? This is pointless, just makes them look dumber. If Man Utd scored an offside goal, would they complain? No. And in this case the referee was correct! Ryan Giggs didn't ask for the wall to be moved back, so the referee didn't have to blow his whistle. Legal goal. It is their responsibility to know the rules of the game they're playing. And they should never play in that stadium again in Europe until it is updated. Fences are unnecessary - a. you can climb over them b. you can throw stuff over them. c. you can be crushed up against them like last night.

Manchester Utd beat Lille and is in advantage Giggs is "the man"! A very important goal he scored yesterday. The offensive trio, formed by Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Larsson, was not efficient against Lille's defense. In the other hand, the French made many faults. Van der Sar was not in danger in the great part of the match. I think that Mr Alex Ferguson tried to improve the offensive force of Manutd, when he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo by Saha. But he did not succed to... The match was going to a draw, when Giggs scored the nice goal, assuring Manchester United's triumph. Now, we can play with no obbligation of victory, next week, at home.

Not just a controversial free kick, but 99% very very lucky chance. Manchester United helps win by 2 factors: Lucky and Referre
