That is true! Computer viruses are very annoying. Currently, I am using avira antivir personal classic edition. I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using it, I have never had any problems at all with regards to the overall function and system performance of my machine. I am so satisfied with its performance. It updates on a regular basis and can be scheduled at your most convenient time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. It does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your computer. Have a nice day and God speed!

I am using NOD32. It's a very easy to use software with very high detection rate, very fast in scanning and uses little resources of your computer. It doesn't affect the speed of my computer while it scans in the background. I have tried other antivirus software but almost all of them nearly crippled my system making it very very slow and less responsive. With NOD32, my computer runs like it doesn't have anything installed on it. It's the best antivirus for me.

many antivirus works well with their own positive and minuses. there is no antivirus right now that most powerfull for all harmness.the important thing is to update regularly so it isnt out to date. panda is good and has simple interface. norton works well and so does trend micro. most antivirus can work best for most harmness but sometimes they can also fail to clean few kind of virus, for example brontok in last year. now i used trend micro 2007 trial edition.

For me in the past I used to use Norton antivirus but after a while I discovered that Norton is heavy on the computer in the startup and not so well in trojans so now I'm using Kaspersky the russian antivirus it is more lighter and efficient.

I use generally two antivirus softwares. They are Avast Antivirus, and AVG antivirus. They are very efficient, and can fight well. I have free edition of both of them, and am using them for almost two years. Avast antivirus fights well against Trojans, and other malicious programs. AVG antivirus, is well equipped to fight small threats, that other reputed antiviruses sometimes overlook while scanning. I am satisfied with both. But there are times when none of them can defend against any dangerous virus. Then I have to format my PC, and reinstall the OS.

possibly, the more important thing is a firewall, and a antitrojan system! as for antivirus, have been using Kaspersky for many years.
