For me it Mohd. Rafi and kishore kumar .....They are legend in the history of bollywood.

I thk now the best male singer is Sonu and female singer is Sunidhi Chowhan. But the alltime great singers are Kishore Kumar,Md. Rafi,Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeskar.

I think it is SONU NIGAM for me in gents but the great one is LATA MANGESHKAR n ASHA BHOSALE.

i think we should not compare great singers . i like jagjit singh, kishore kumar, abida parveen, nusrat fateh ali khan, ( nayyara noor and tina sani from pakistan).suppose u like a singer very much and u think that he is the best one then it is wrong . u just think that you dont like each and every song of particular singer some of these you skip when listening.

accordiny to me it's none other than the great singer Latha mangeshkar..she s a nightingale of india..

All time favorites would be no doubt Kishore Kumar in male singers & Lata-Asha in female singers. Its tough to decide on both of them.Balasubramanyam & Chitra also are my favorites from South Indian singers. Their voice speak out the in-depth emotions very clearly. Either happy or sad any kind of emotion can be easily felt through their voice.
