Do you truly make money from a blog?

I've seen quite a few of you who have money making blogs, and you claim to make a LOT of money from them! But what I'm wondering is, can you make money on a blog that ISN'T about making money?
What I mean is, I've been told that you should start a blog about something that interests you, then promote it everywhere, use adsense and other programs, and you will make money! Is that true? Can you make money on a blog with a topic that isn't about making money????
Please don't send me to your blogs about making money... but I'd love to see your blog if it's about some other topic AND you're making money from it. Tell me what your interests are and how long you've had the blog. Thanks!

Yes, I've made just under $5 for a blog that is primarily about crocheting.
If anyone wants a blogchex blog, please send me a message with your email and I'll send you an invite.
It isn't easy to make money with a blog, imo, but it is possible.

I would love to see your blog! Can you can either post it here or send me a message with the link? That's what I'd like to do.... start a blog about a hobby or something I'm familiar with and make a little extra money with it...

Yes, it isn't easy to make money with a blog, but it is possible.
from blog, i can learn english, learn writing,know some knowledge,earn money... i love blog:)
