When Getting Attention turns to Creating Destruction

What do you do if you have a student whose need for emotional security and physical affection is so much, he always try to get his classmates' and the teachers' attention in any which way that he can, even if it means punching, kicking his classmates or saying foul language in front of the teacher? I try not to get angry because i have known his family background and realized just how great his need is. But sometimes, my patience goes pfffft! when i see him kick or punch a classmate just because he was not included in a game, or when he says foul language in front of another teacher. How can i stay objective and understanding if he always does these things? How about you? Will you?
