Did you dog howl or barked fiecrely for no reason?

I heard and also saw sometimes dogs that barked or howl at a certain direction or unseen thing in middle of the nite. That means that there is a ghost or evil spirit nearby. I heard from my older generation that dogs sometimes barked or howl when they see those spirit or ghost in the middle of the nite. The dogs can senses and see what we humans cant sometimes. Has anyone here having the same experience?

Watching my dog today jump up to the window ,and bark loudly, I often look out to see who is there, and see nothing,a short while later some one showsup, magic.

I'm not sure I believe in ghosts, but dogs can hear things we cannot.
