I ride a motorbike and I don't wear a helmet while driving because of the heat and sweat. But now the govt has made a rule here that we ought to wear one failing which needed to hand over our bike. So sad. Though we can take it back after showing a helmet and its bill receipt. As for car we need to fasten the seat belt. I usually love my motorbike so i use the car rarely and i had to fasten the safety belt.

I fasten my seat belt because I want my grandchildren to learn what is right. I need to be a good one for them to look up to. These things have to start somewhere.

when i was in the philippines, whenever i get on the car. me and my family dont wear seatbelts at all...we feel restrained and tight. we were just not used to doing it. but when i got here in the states and started driving...i found out how important seatbelts are..so i always make sure that i wear my seatbelt whenever i drive and before i go i make sure that my passengers are also wearing it...

Hi there ygkchaitu! I don't like riding on motorbikes because I don't feel safe in it and I don't like wearing helmet eather. When i am riding in our van and I am sitting in the passenger seat, I wear the seatbelt.

I am very shocked that you have been riding a motorbike with a helmet. I am very pleased that the lawa now says that you should wear a helmet. Your head is one of the most importants parts of your body and the wearing of a helmet has saved many many lives. Surely it is better to be safe, arrive saflty with a sweaty head rather than not arrive at all? I think the state should have made this law long ago. In Uk the lawa has been in place for many years. 20 years ago I rode a motor bike and it was law to wear a helmet. I think it should also be law that you are not allowed to ride a motorbike unless you are covered up, I hate to see people riding motorbikes with no tops or little vest tops on, if you have a crash, fall off you have nothing to try and help protect your skin. There is only so much skin on your body that you can use elsewhere.
