Honestly and happiness could be enough reason for a happy living. You cannot be honest if you are not happy and you cannot be happy without giving your honesty.

Boy, this is a hard one to decide. But I think if you are talking about your family then I'd rather be honest first. If you are honest with your family, then happiness will follow. Lying and dishonesty in your family hurts and only creates holes and damages relationships. But outside the family -- i think if you make others feel happy they will more likely open up and be honest with you.

Life isn't always rosey. I think it is more important that people be honest, and happiness will follow. A lot of people think they are making others happy by telling them what they WANT to hear, but that will only make everyone unhappy in the end, because the truth will be revealed eventually. I think it is more important to be honest firt, and happy later.
