Youth of today disrespectful?

Do you think that the youth of today are more direspectful to older ppl? Im not that old myself but wen i was young i respected my elders as i was scared of getting a clip round the ear but now my younger brother (15) speaks to our mother like ...... i cant believe it as i would never have done it i was to scared! do you think its cos of the laid bak laws DO NOT SMACK your CHILDREN?

I believe smacking your children is wrong in ANY case. No matter what they do. But I also believe that the youth of today are more disrespectful than before, but I believe this is because the culture has changed.
