I saw this quote on another site and it got me thionking. I have personally experienced the wonders of modern medicine aa well as come out of situation where I had been give up for dead four years ago, many of those who know (including the surgeon who operated on me) partly attribute my life (rather second life) to devine intervention. So what is your take on this?

But for some people like my friend who suffers from chronic pain, God has not healed her, she has been a christian all her life. For her she feels it is a purpose to be in pain to learn her destiny and she know God has a plan for her.

If God heals and doctor takes the fees why do these people bother going to the doctor in the first place. Some religious sects don't go to the doctors. I have seen one such incident close to my house. The person was some sot of a minister in a religious organization. If any one doesn't want to go to the doctor it is fine with me it is their life they are free to make the choice. But they should stop telling others what to do and what not to do.Most people have the intelligence to decide for themselves what is required and what not is required.Regards

It is the knowledge they employ that we pay for. I dont begrudge them some recompense.

And the credit as well. I hate doctors who are like that, taking credit for something they really did not do. And what more, they'll bill the patient too much.
