Speed dating a multi-millionaire

Did anyone see that speed dating service on the news where the guys had to be multi millionaires and the women were all drop dead gourgeous. The men had to bring finacial records to prove there worth and the women brought there assets(T&A) then they would speed date. I watched it, here we had rich men looking for a trophy wife. The organisers are now planning one for rich women to date sexy younger men.
What do you think of this concept?
What do you think of speed dating?
Have we become that shallow of a society that the way to pick a future partner is based only on your check book?

I saw a special on something similar, not sure if it was the same report you saw though but it sounds the same. It amazes me that there are people in this world that would pick their partner based on their checkbooks and looks. The girl could be a complete idiot but as long as she is hot, that is all that matters. The guy could be abusive and a complete jerk but at least he can buy them their new Prada handbags, right? You know what I say? They deserve each other. Two less shallow people in the dating pool.
This isn't something I have to worry about, I'm happily married to a man who wasn't someone who caught my eye at first (and vice versa, I'm sure) but we each saw things in each other that went deeper than our external beauty or lack thereof.
Beauty fades. Money can be lost. Then what?
I never had to speed date and I'm sure it has it's pros and cons but this type of dating at all just amazes me.

It sounds like the same one a friend stold me the company that did it was goign to do it again and they were also going to do a rich lady sexy guy one too at least they are keeping it fair by showing the shallowness and gold digging on both sides.
