Interfaith churches, organizations and groups

This is something I've only recently heard about over the past couple yrs....Basically from what I understand the Interfaith movement for lack of a better term is to promote uniting the world religions and to stop religious based hate and violence.....I personally think its a FABULOUS idea and long overdue really...but I'd like to know what you all think about it and is it something you and your family would be interested in? I first heard about it when I stumbled upon the United Religions Initiative website some time ago and I got really interested in it...here is a basic idea of their goals from their website "URI believes that people everywhere when inspired to cooperate for the common good, will find solutions to end religiously motivated hate and violence and will create initiatives that build cultures of peace, justice and healing."
