I'm glad I came across this discussion. I actually really started to enjoy drinking tea some years ago. And not because it's a trendy thing, but because I enjoy the flavour of some teas. In my country tea is a rather new thing, a trend, so to speak. We do know tea ofcourse, but the usuall kind. But black teas or rather imported brands are a thing of modern part of society. And I hate it when I come across people, talking about which varieties they've tasted and like, and how exquisite their taste for teas is... And then they tell you they drink some fruity or instant flavoured tea... I drink tea because it tastes better than coffee to me and it gets me up more. And it has been proven that tea is more healthy than coffee. It filters your body from toxins and reduces the flow of the antioxidants. It's supose to have anti-cancerogenic effect aswell. I'm curious by the nature, so I like to find out more about things that attract me, things I enjoy. So I don't think of me as some kind of tea specialist, I just learned this along the way. I don't like all of the teas though. So far I have tried maybe some 20 varieties of black and green teas and I like about 7-8 of them, but I actually drink 3 of them on daily basis. Jasmine, English breakfast mixed with a bit of Earl Grey, and some Chinese, Lichee black tea. All in all tea is better than coffee.

I prefer coffee but I take red tea more frequently bcoz drinking tea is more healthy than drink coffee. It's true that drinking coffee is less healthy especially to those people with O blood type. Last month I found coffee without caffein and start enjoying it without much worries.

If you drink in moderation, coffee is safe, the negative effects of coffee tend to emerge from excessive drinking. I'm not saying that cofee is completely innocent but it's how much and how often you drink coffee will determine if it's good or bad for you.
