sheer speculation on money earning website

i came across several posts here in Mylot of some recommendation of good paying sites...i reviewed intently on the terms and condition and its business...
one particularly says, "we sell email addressess"...
it struck me that these websites are making $$$ as motivation a strategy to easily get and sell personal information of other people. the motivation is very alluring that many people sometimes forgo the value of confidentiality.
what do you think about this?

I am aware of certain sites making a kill out of selling personal information like email id,IP address,Phone numbers and in some cases ,addresses too.They call it trafic leads and sell it to folks who want to promote their business to a genuine person so they have a better chance at selling their product.When I was new to internet I didn't quite appreciate the implications of such an action and thought it to be innocuous but now that I know what I know about hackers,scammers and fraudsters on the internet,I feel unsafe about this kind of practise knowing that my personal information could be sold in a free market and someone could profit from my loss of confidentiality or security.I don't appreciate it.
