Do you talk to strangers or people you don't know?

When I was a little girl, my parents always told me not to talk to people that I don't know or commonly known as strangers. The other day, I was on my way home. I rode the usual public transportation that I take every night but something weird happened to me that night. Before I reached my stop, there was a guy who suddenly talked to me. I didn't even know him in the first place. He said that he always sees me and that we always ride the same public transportation every time we go home. It was really weird because I've never noticed other people that much while on my way home. I didn't react violently though. As soon as the vehicle stopped, I went down right away never looking back. I talked to someone who I didn't know. How creepy! X_X How about you? Do you talk to people who you don't know? How do you react to it afterwards? Tell me about it. ^^
