Do you have someone come and pray for you before surgeries?

My sister is really big on having a Priest come and give her last rights before she goes in for a surgery (she has lots of surgeries) She takes this very seriously and won't have surgery if one hasn't come. She is in the hospital now and she told me that a Minister from another church came in and prayed with her but yet she needed a Priest. Her daughter had already called me and told me she was having trouble finding a Priest because they weren't from that town. I don't suppose I was the most supportive sister when I said "Well don't you think God got the message from the Minister?" She did laugh a bit because she knows I have a strong faith in God but don't feel my religion is the only religion that is going to heaven. After realizing I probably wasn't being supportive enough I told her that everything was being done to find a Priest but that it was important to have the surgery no matter what. I told her I would help find a Priest for her. After the call my niece called me back and said she found one. I was glad for my sister but really feel like my sister goes over board with this concept. What do you think?
