Customer Service

Where did customer service go? Grocery Stores have scan and bag your own groceries, big box stores you can't find someone to help you find a particular item or if you do and ask them question about a product they look at you as if you had two heads. When you phone a government service or utility you get the automated machine that puts you through twenty different options and buttons to push and by the time you get done they say please hold someone might answer and help you. I find this so frustrating and annoying, I think this costs more in aggravation for the customer. What happened to the good old days of customer service and satisfaction?

Nobody cares. Big corporations and government offices could care less if you are bothered. They don't worry about losing one customer, or perhaps they know you have no choice but to use them. Personally, I love the self-checkout because I am more competent anyway.
