How high is his fever? If it is low grade, you should not treat it at all. Trying to lower a low grade fever is taking away your baby's ability to fight his illness. Fevers can be a good thing. Fever is your baby's body's natural response to illness. It is how he fights the illness. If your child is uncomfortable because of the fever then treat the child, but not the fever. Here is a good informational article about fevers in children: http://www.askdrsears.com/html/8/T082100.asp here is another good article: http://drgreene.com/21_832.html I hope that is helpful and I hope your son is feeling better soon.

Get in a warm bath with him, and cuddle him to you, this will keep him warm while lowering the temprature. Give him a sponge bath. Make sure he is staying hydrated by feeding him BM or Formula Fevers arent always bad though. Often times its because the child is fighting an infection or other illness. If its not really high i wouldent be concerned. As long as the baby is acting normally, even if hes sleeping alot its ok.

Another thing that worked really well when my son was a baby, is boil up some chicken, Dosent mater what pieces. Boil it up really well, and put the juice in a bottle. add nothing to it, just make some broth, My son would take that down easier then he would food.

I have an almost 5 month old, and, when she's not feeling well, I give her Baby Tylenol. This will help lower the baby's temperature. Also, putting your baby in a bath of lukewarm water works to reduce the temperature as well. Hope this helps you out the next time your baby's temperature rises.

Let him wear as little clothes as possible, and make sure he drinks a lot. Check his temperature everytime you change his diaper,

Did your baby get a shot. Then it is quiet normal. Give her damp cloth to chew or wipe her with damp cloth but keep track of tempearature measurement. you can give her tylenol following the instructions given on the label of the medicine.

I would advise to consult with a doctor. Then, littles may have a temperature much higher than we adults have (like 37.3 C) and it's all right for them. What's his/her temperature? Look, it's funny, that we are of the same age and so are our babies. Do you have a baby boy or a girl? I've got a son :)

Things that always worked for us were let the baby lay around in just a diaper, or give them a bath in cooler water...also lots of drinks, the colder the better.

Is the babies temperature just slightly elevated? If so, let him chew on a cool damp cloth and he should be fine. At six months old a temp often means teeth are on the way.

put your baby in a lukewarm bath (make sure it's not a cold bath or your baby could have a seizure). or wet a washcloth with lukewarm water and put that on your babies forehead. or give your baby some applejuice to drink in their bottle

Reel the baby in a wet bed-sheet, changing it when it's warming; give him/her tea from plants: camomile for ex. It's important to know if the temperature is coming from a cold (see the nose - clean it, the neck -easy external massage with alchool and fresh cabbage leaf around the neck...)or digestive disorder (easy massage stomach for to...empty it !) Over 38,5 C grades for more than 12-16 hours - go to specialist ! Good health !
