A decent game, but all in all it's below Final Fantasy standard. The politics related storyline just isn't as captivating as in the earlier game.
[Attention: Personal opinion] Final Fantasy is just a average game without Sakaguchi and Uematsu.

Yeah, I totally agree with you! I felt that the storyline & the characters were quite bland. The gameplay was kind of neat but without the storyline and a good development of the characters the game is nothing near what it used to be for games made on the PSX and below.

Me too. Final fantasy 12 was pretty cool since it had a real time battle system. But other than that it was pretty meh. I loved final Fantasy 7 and 9. I wish 12 had been a little more like those games (story wise)

FFXII is the best in its series great gameplay system
and storyline. But the one that I've been waiting to be release is the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. i know its a movie, but if they create a game based on Advent Children I would think twice to buy it.

I haven't played XII----the series started going downhill with VIII, IMO. I really love V, VI, VII, and Tactics, though. VIII was okay, IX was awful....I'm one of the rare old-school FF fans who liked X....and after that, I stopped playing.
I also loved Xenogears, though I didn't play Xenosage. The Suikoden series is high on my list, too, though.

I have played all series of Final Fantasy but not XII, beacause I heard bad things about it. I think Final Fantasy X, VII, VIII, are the best ones by so far. Can't wait for XIII for ps3 to come out ^^
