Is there too much moral policing on mylot

I find that apart from the guide lines which the mylot admin has given there are other new rules set by the mylot members. I have come across a post which says that a simple thanks for responding to a discussion is not enough. Afterall most of us are here for money and this fact should be accepted. Why are few members imposing their rules on others.

Hello kritipen..... If you check the do's and don'ts list you will see that simply thanking someone is something mylot says not to do. It is not just some members trying to impose their beliefs. Tom

Hi... Something else to keep in mind....mylot is a privately owned company, not a democracy. Yom

I think just thanking shouldn't be such an issue because it's only a comment to someone's response or action when they help or reward us and comments on Mylot neither contribute towards our posts (numbers) nor do they increase our earings.Hence, thanking someone to let them know we appreciate them shouldn't be disallowed in my opinion. It helps a better communication and folks get to know each other better thus, spawning discussions with sincere intent of participation which is good for both Mylot and Mylotians.

i don't mind what rules other members post. it's the mylot rules that i will follow. i only read these users' posts and then look for another discussion to reply.
