Which part of your body defines who you are?

In a medical tv series I regularly watch, a world-renowned surgeon got shot in the arm and had to be operated on. He discovered after the operation and mandatory physical therapy that he has not regained full funtioning of his hands as he experienced tremors every now and then. He went through an emotional crisis, saying: MY HANDS DEFINE WHO I AM. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH OUT MY HANDS? Come to think of it, there are parts of our body that define who we are. They help us achieve the things we do best, the things we care to do most. I had a tough time choosing just 1 body part to identify as the one which defines me. My brain defines who I am. I am a think-tank, I enjoy using my brain for work, leisure, and life in general. It is my quick and serious thinking that has landed me many good opportunities in life. It is my brain processing that churns out the happy activities I think of doing with my family and friends. It is my creative juices that have made my and my family's life a whole lot more colorful. It is my brain that has led me to make the best decisions I have made in my life and it is also my brain which has helped me process the learnings I can take with me whenever I make a mistake. What about you?

in my opinion,my whole totality defines me.everyday, i always thank the lord for making me physically complete because i wouldn't know what to do if i lose them.i salute the handicapped because they can still go on with their life despite the fact that they are disabled.if we are complete spiritually ,mentally ,then we can do whatever we want to do.

Interesting topic. I never thought of seeing just one part of my body defining who I am. For me, I am the totality of my different body parts, so I can't really choose just 1 part.
