U have many other solutions such as:real player,bs player,radlight and many many others.I use personally bsplayer and I am very pleased with it!

I otherwise wouldnt use microsoft products. But windows media player works for me so good. The new version is great. And I have all my songs (495) categorized there. But winamp is an ok alternative. But winamps music library aint as good as wmp.

WMP is a good enough player to play most of the movie clips, but i find VLC player to be good enough to play most of the clips and support various range of the codecs needed.
