is FIRE a form of matter or not???

i always wonder we can see fire .. but it has no quality of a MATTER.. it always go upwards ... not towards the gravity ... it can be created and it can be erased ... so what is it?? its not a matter for sure .... then how do we define it .. some says its a form of energy but then nobody can see energy .. but we can see fire ... can someone tell??

i agree fire is made of heat particles in energy but is partially a state of matter called plasma so i would consider it as a lower form of a colloid... i only 10 though i would consider scientist answer this question..

To my mind, fire is a gaseous element. I'm not sure that you're correct in saying that we can't see energy... what is lightning? We can see lightning and I'm sure that's an energay. Take in mind clouds, as well. They go up and stay up, but they are matter of a sort, surely? Sure, gravity holds them in the air, but they go upwards in the first place. Hmmmmmm, something to be pondered, indeed. Brightest Blessings.
