The number of interracial marriages are they going up or down?I know racism is still alive and well.It is now very subtly practised in civilised societies and no longer are racial couples openly villified. The world is heading gor the global village and do you think we should throw everything open and probably end up with a new blend that may be had to name?

I do not believe subtly is the correct word, unless you consider single race marriages subtle. Actually, in the US, the census has reported that the number of people reporting as "mixed-race" has been increasing since the 1980s. In truth we are becoming a more blended society, and thank you for that.

I think interracial couples are on the rise. I don't think overall these marriages are going to top the number of same race marriages any time soon, but people feel more free to be in love with who they want these days. At least in America and places like England they do.
