If you have been here for at least a week or so you can already see who is consistent. If you plan on being here you want to make friends with consistent people. What I have done with all of my friends who post consistently is I've went to my friends page and turned notify on. That way when they post a discussion I am notified. Personally I just stay logged into my yahoo account while I am here so I can get those alerts. Then I respond to all of their discussions if I feel like my input may help. If that person has any type of decency about them they will also respond to your discussions if they feel they have something realevent to add, and so on. I hope this helps someone, and if you have any tips to share please do.

The tip that you've posted is also what I would advise for many reasons. Not only does it help to have friends on your list who will reply to your own topics, it is really helpful to get friends on your list whom you know post topics that you're interested in replying to. I've saved hours on the site by having great friends on my list like you who I know post quality topics every day. Replying from email is truly a time-saver, as opposed to looking through the entire site for new and good topics to reply to each day. It really does enable a person to be able to reply to at least 20-30 good quality topics in an hour or so, which is great, and would be my goal if I weren't working on other things in between typing here on the site, so that I don't really know how much I do get done in an hour anymore *laugh*

LOL, You sound so much like me, but that is exactly what I meant when I said consistent posters. Basically people who post quality discusions that interest you. It makes it so much easier to respond just like you said.

You have a very good point I have a good friends list now. I enjoy all of their discussions and will respond to them if I can add anything worth while. There have been times that I read the discussion and just dod not comment because I had nothing to say on the subject. I will look at the new, recent and my interests discussions once in awhile but I generally do the discussions by friends and reply to those first.
