I am not sure in it. They mostly say the truth. I mean the Hungarian. Yes of course sometimes it happpen that they say the opposite. Last year one of our oldest welknown favourite meteorologists (szilard aigner) said, that the summer would be very cool, and rainy, and there would be warm day only for 1-2 week in the end og july. The bigger part of HUngarians decide to go abroad to spend their holiday, not to the Balaton, and to hungarian cities. There were no reservation in the hungarian hotels for the whole summer. It was terribly hot last summer for weeks, without RAIN! He appologized later, but the Hngarian touristic office wanted to take him to the court because of the it was his mistake, that hungarian hotels and pansions lost a lotof money.
After it he decided that he would say never again the weather months before.

Weather is unpredictable and does not fit neatly inside a box.
The machines are based on science and can only appear to work on statistics. Satellites can be helpful to tell part of the story.
The other day a weather man was interviewed and he said if the computers are predicting something and he knows of a folk lore that indicates otherwise, he picks the folklore over the machine. Wise in my views. Technology is not always the best thing.
I take three weather stations and triangulate for my own accurate weather prediction. Also living out I can see the weather most of the time approaching me.
They admit that they are guessing anything more than about 3 days out.
