Israeli police have used water cannon to break up a multinational rally against the West Bank barrier. Several hundred protesters had gathered from the West Bank, Israel and abroad at Bilin, near Ramallah. Ten people were reportedly hurt in scuffles. The rally held was to mark the second anniversary of a weekly protest held at Bilin against the barrier. The Israel government characterises the barrier as a security measure but critics say it is an illegal land grab. The Palestinians fear the route of the barrier is designed to ensure that many Jewish settlements become part of Israel under any future peace deal. Bilin has been the focus of protesters' attention because they say the barrier separates it from about 60% of its farming land. what do you think have they done the correct things?discuss
