Do you think that our world will ever be at peace in our lifetimes?

After fifty-plus years of being here on my beloved Earth, it seems that there has not been a period of sustained peace that has lasted for long without a war popping up somewhere. Although, I have come to terms with this "human condition", it seems that there will probably be more of the same stuff going on till the day I leave this planet. As you can tell by my username, (which is really an adverb) I favor a time when Peace might get a chance to rule. It's nice thought, don't you think?:) In the meantime, I wish you all the Joy, Abundance and Peace that you could ever want. May you know such Prosperity, that it overflows from your Life and out into the World! I'll keep thinking such thoughts, maybe it will help! :)

History shows that life here runs in a cycle so to speak. We are tried and if we succed, we are blessed. We then have a time of growth as a result of the blessing. When things are going well, we tend to not depend on the Lord so he chastens us. Thus begins the next part to the cycle. We have hard times till we lean on the Lord again then we repent and are blessed again. The cycle continues and the circle is complete and starts over again.

Peaceful - I wholeheartedly agree with you - As long as we are on this earth, there will continue to unfortunately be hate, violence and war - However, it's people like you that can contribute to help create peace where ever you go!! I do also wish everyone one ultimate peace, prosperity, abundance and complete happiness for eternity!! Blessings and Abundance to all! Ciao!

I don't think there will ever be peace in this world. At least not for a long time. Our reaction to violence is always violence and I don't see how violence can ever result in peace, at least not long term.

I try to pay little heed to war and hatred and violence. I find it so sickening what supposedly civilised human beings will do to each other. Life is such a gift and we are surrounded by such incredible awesome beauty. The colours we see, things growing, children, animals, crops, fruit, we have so much and yet we take so much for granted and become fanatical about sport or what ever else makes us fanatical. I've moved to the bush where I see a lot of sky without any smog, I'm allowed to have pets, I walk on my grass (weeds) and I say g'day to whomsoever walks past my door. WE have so much and yet there is still racism here (made worse by the politicians mind you). So even though we have the possibility of peace and abundence it is poisoned by so called civilization.
