all of us who have studied ramayana even with the least interest know that sita had to go thru agni-pariksha .toc what extent was lord rama justified in taking that when he to had remained apart from sita 4 the same period?what does this reflect of his so called chracter of a perfect man?

yes, this is something no one can give a perfect answer for,but still i think as ramji was not under any jail, and dere was no force on him to do something, ans sitaji was being kidnapped by a devil, so there were a few force on her and dere were chances of her being harassed by the devil forcefully. So i dont think there was anything wrong in that. And as for the mythological view we have seen in ramayana that before sita ji was kidnapped she was handed over to fire god, to save her and her illusion was kidnapped by ravana. SO get the sam epure sita firegod has to be called somehow and so all that drama of agni-pariksha, was to call the firgod to safely give sitaji to ramji.
