Reclaiming Gold

Does anyone know how to check the gold content in gold rings, earrings, necklaces etc? does anyone know the process for melting down, separating, and reclaiming the actual gold in this jewlry? Thanks Samuel

Well melting the gold is easy, you just need a melting kit... It's not that easy to find out the gold content though, that you have to ask a specialist about.

If you are looking for an easy home method, I don't think such a thing exists.
