I've thought of such things as whitening mouthwash - and kicked myself for not going to the company that makes listerine and selling the idea to them...eventually it was going to happen. Has this ever happened to you? Did you ever sell your idea to a company? Does anyone know the process of doing it? Anyone have any great ideas they had and somone else got to it first? Post em here and vent like me - and maybe find out what to do the next time a lightbulb goes off over your head! (Now they are flourescent ones that save energy lol - why didn't I ever think of that??) Is there a job postion that people take that think of cool ideas fast? Is it your job? Post it here! Thanks!

Not me but my mom had ideas that were eventually put up by two companies. First was the idea of a layered gelatin (the upper layer being the creme layer, and the jello the lower layer) topped with grated cheese. She once offered the idea to one famous fastfood chain but the owner was reluctant. Later on, the same food company came out with a dessert that is very similar to my mom's idea (but not exactly the same thing)! After that, my mom came up again with an idea of romance novels written in the local (native) language, but with pictures (and balloons of conversation) very similar to a comic book (but in smaller novel book form). She offered the idea to a publishing company but they said her asking price for the idea was too high. Later on, another publishing company did the same thing and the books sold like pancakes (even up to this day)!

My dad came up with the idea for the water bra (he said there would be bras filled with removable inserts so you would no longer have to get surgery) Do you ever wonder what life would be like if they had said yes??!! (the companies to the ideas) I really like the book idea!
