Why myLot is like privatized health care

The title might sound a little odd, but hear me out. So how exactly is myLot like privatized health care? The business models for both are not conducive to a good product. In fact, at a first glance they are, more likely than not, conducive to a bad product. For instance, doesn't it seem odd that a hospital stands to make more money the longer their patients stay? Of course this is mitigated by the Hippocratic oath, but that applies only to doctors, not the corporations that run the health care industry. As for myLot, well the whole idea is to post as much as possible (both discussions and responses). A business proposition such as this encourages many things including: dishonesty, feigned interest and gratitude, and an overall lack in quality and intelligence of posts. It leads to responses such as: "thnk for u response at my discuson" and even as witnessed earlier today: "ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd". I know it might be a stretch to compare it to the ailing American health care industry, but there is a solution for both. The solution is pay for performance, which follows the old adage: "It's not the quantity, but the quality". While quantity is very useful to myLot as a business, quality might be even more useful as I plan to point out in another post on my theories about how myLot works. So how about you, would you rather read posts about how someone's cat ate their dinner (i.e. stay another night in a crappy hospital) or would you rather read something more intellectually stimulating? And remember to stay tuned for a post about my theories on how myLot works.

I completely understand why you feel this way and you are right. That is why I am trying to build a good, solid group of friends. People that share my interests, have things in common with me, and seem to sincerely enjoy discussions. You seem like someone I would enjoy talking more with and I have sent you an invitation to be a friend. I hope you will take me up on this. I'll be watching for more discussions from you. Thanks.

I'd be honored. I have read some of your posts and your profile and you seem very sincere. I especially liked the one about children's names (your daughters have beautiful names by the way). It's good to know that I'm not the only one on here that seeks truth and sincerity. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thank you for the kind words. I really enjoy myLot and the small circle of friends that I have. I try to always be sincere. If I don't feel like I can really provide a sincere comment or post, I just won't join it. I look forward to more discussions with you.

I hate coming on mylot to find useless discussions, It's a waste of time really. I refuse to respond to them, they annoy me. (: I prefer to respond to stimulating conversation. Usually I respond to parenting discussions as that is where I am in life right now. I will keep an eye out for your discussions!
