What's something good about a religion or a philosophy other than your own?

Can you find something good in someone else's religion or philosophy? What is it? What's good about it? Why do you admire that belief?

I had a lot of thoughts come to mind when I read this. They were all valid, but I'll pick the one that's hardest for me because that's the kind of person I am. In case you are wondering, my religion is Celtic (more easily described as pagan). I admire just about anything actually said by Jesus. There was a man who knew how to live: loving everyone, not judging others, being kind to those that are different from yourself, and leading by example rather than just running around trying to force everyone to believe what you do. It's not my religion, but people who actually follow those words properly can be some very compassionate, tolerant, and kind people. And I admire that.

Awesome response! It made me glad that I asked the question. I couldn't have said it better myself. I apologize for not getting a reply back to you sooner. I caught the flu.

Thanks for your well wishes. The high fevers are gone and now I just have to garlic and echinachea and water away the chest congestion. Using the microscope's 160x lens to determine levels of what's remaining in body fluids was very informative and motivating to keep fasting and doing all of the above. As far as your religion, it sounds closer to what God would want, in my opinion, that a lot that goes on in churchianity. :-) I'm all for it!

I am not sure if it is bad or good, I believe no man/woman should put another man/woman's religion down, if you do you are stepping on a finger of GOD

That is an excellent policy to have! I think that's good. It creates an attitude of acceptance and peace. Awesome!
