Mahatma Gandhi - the Name 'Gandhi' has become a substitute for the word 'Mahatma - Great Soul'. the things he did for the independence of India are truely amazing.. it not so long back only about 60 yrs ago, the nation got the independence under the action plan of Mahatma Gandhi.. He is called the Father of nation but is still the Indian population the children of the Great man??? Question itself asks many Questions....

yes, definitely mahama gandhi is still Father of the Nation. After the release of the movie,"Lage Raho Munnabhai ",YOu can read at least one event of using Gandhigiri to solve the problems. You can say it is unfortunate that we need such a movie to initiate the basic principal of mahatma gandi.

You see, 'Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi' or in short popularly known as 'Mahatma Gandhi' or 'Gandhi', is no doubt the father of our free India. It is the super-vision of this Mahatma (Great Soul) that resulted in the freedom movement in India about a century back and ultimately India was free! In this free India we all as well as all our children and also all our superiors regard Mahatma Gandhi as father of our nation. Gandhi as a broad personality, was a leader, fighter, worshiper of non-violence and peace, a saint, an embodiment of satyagraha. In present Indian society, you please think how many of us study and follow Gandhi? How many of us refer Gandhi's literature to our children? Certainly very very few! So also thus the suspicion is about being the children of this great man! Unless we alert ourselves to study and refer others also to study Gandhi's literature, how can we feel the reality of 'Father of Nation'? So in my opinion all must study Gandhi regularly to understand and practise his thoughts and actions for a better social life at present time. Thanks.
