I got to thinking of the strange things my parents used to tell me when I was little. Are there things your parents told you that you always remember but don't necessarily follow?
Ones my parents told me include:
"If you swallow a watermelon seed, a watermelon will grow in your stomach:
"If you sleep with wet hair, you'll wake up with headaches"
"You'll go blind if you sit too close to the television"
What did yours tell you?

If you are pulling a funny face and the wind changes direction you face will stay like that forever.
Feed a cold and starve a fever.
If in life you want to thrive let the spider stay alive.
I can't think of any more - except if you swollow chewing gum it will stick to your ribs.
