if i wrote a book on failure and it doesnt sell, is it a success?

I think authors get turned down plenty of times.One time i was reading where one had got turned down over 20 times before she got published.But yes if your book is great and the publisher wants to buy then yes it can be a success.I dont think because of the name or what its about would make it a failure
