making virtual friends?! Good or bad?!

What are the downfalls of having this kind of life?! I seem to see people like to have relationships virtually rather than in person it seems their having a hard time with real people they could talk to

I think virtual friendships attract some people because they know they will never have to interact with them face to face. They feel secure in knowing that they could say whatever they want about themselves and the other person has no idea whether or not it's the truth.
I still prefer real people over virtual ones but I do find I can talk easier with on line friends. They can judge me all they want, it doesn't really matter because I don't really know them.
