VIRENDER SEHWAG,the big name of indian cricket. This dashing stroke player from Delhi, is a match winner for us.But his inconsistency is creating problems for us.How can we see him in worldcup 2007,as opener or middleorder batsmen?Uthappa is strong contender i feel as opener with ganguly than sehwag. What do u say?

I think he should be open in WC because he is a hitter and we must want quick runs in first ten overs.

His main role in the Indian team is as an opener and I think he is best suited for that. But recently he is barely outperform and so on instead of playing him in the middle order the team management should drop him and let him get some break and regather his thoughts and his cricket so that he can perform well for the role he has been given in the team instead of doing what he is not good at because that will lead him nowhere. He is an explosive player and we need him in the first 20 overs of the powerplay so that he can blast away the opposition bowling attack so that the little batsmen in the middle order can play with ease and build their innings. If he gets informed and start opening in the World Cup matches the night in India is in a very good position

i think sehwag should play at 2 down because now a days as a opener he is not playing well and his form is just diminishing day by day so i think he should not open the inning now he should start from 2 down and when he will regain his form thn he should again start the inning in that colourful manner

A consistent Uthappa is great news for the Indian team because exactly like Sehwag he sets the tone of the innings. So dont disturb the top order and get Sehwag in the middle order. His greatest utility is even if he fails with the bat he is more than useful with the ball inthe west Indian conditions.
