Is Flying Just getting to be too much trouble?

Fly or Drive? I'm telling ya, The more horror stories I hear about flights and sitting on runways and bad food, cancelled flights, late flights, and on and on and on.... I am thinking that it's just as easy to rent a car or take the family car and take off to your chosen destination? I realize that you have to fly to other countries- Bicycling from San Diego California to Japan is not an option! LOl.... Business people have to fly to destinations for meetings etc.... but..... if given the choice and you had the time? Fly or Drive? What are your thoughts?

Luxury Blue Train - Sit back and enjoy!
I would take a nice relaxed luxury train trip. No so confining as a car and you would get waited on hand and foor. See photo of the luxury Blue Train.

I live in California and driving here is for the birds. There is always a traffic jam. Flying is much easier if you can ignore, the delays, lost baggage, and rude people. I have no choice when I go back home Puerto Rico I have to fly or take a boat.

oh gosh Naty I forgot about the lost luggage and the rude attendants and counter people. Well at least when you fly home you are going to somewhere you will be having fun and being appreciated.

I would prefer a nice luxury train trip, not so confiming as a car and you get waited on hand and foot.

I've never flown anywhere. And it's getting to the point that I don't think I want to. My luck, I would be on the plane that was either hijacked, or sabotaged (the landing gear would be permanently stuck in the closed position.). I would rather just drive to wherever I need to go. At least I'm already on the ground. LOL

LOL I can't argue with that logic. I just hate to take what little vacation time I have "just getting" there. When I go to see My Sister I want to spend as much time as I can with her so hate to spend 2 days each way driving, but the airport hassels and the plane maintenance issues and such sure don't make it very appealing or safe.

If I can get there by car I prefer to drive. Flying is NOT enjoyable any more.

I agree Howard- It seems to come with less stress other than the tiredness of long driving hours.
