how to get rid of these unwanted creatures??

I have heared people saying ....that whatever is created in this world by god has some or the other benefit.....so can anyone tell me why these mosquitoes were created....I cant think of any ways by which they help us.....they are really becoming a menace....i dont know how to get rid of them nothing seem to work.....our apartment is quite clean....I dont know from where they come.. I am becoming fedup....Do u know of any effective way to get rid of them....sprays seems to have stopped working...
