I just got a yellow star with a 8 in it....

Try to respond to a discussion that is a yes or a no for it will affect your star rating and earning as well in the near future if myLot have a major clean up of discussion. I just noticed I have a star too! My rating is 7 though. I had not been rating any discussions before this week I think...is this rating thing new? I don't think I noticed it before! Anyway, congrats on your rating! That's really cool! Kudos to you!

it just shows your credibility on mylot.. i had a 9 before but after a couple of days of not being on mylot it went down to an 8... so basically it is your reputation on mylot.. people can see if you are giving them good responses or not if they have any problems or what not...
