Okay this is going to be intersting I hope. I have not given anyone a minus rating. If there's a comment or post I didn't agree with or like I would just post a message/reply stating my feelings in good words. I also try to give ratings & comments to all aspects of myLot. The one thing I've noticed is that hardly anyone has comments posted on their photos. I started looking at my friends pages & am trying to make comments on their photos. This helps boost your points &/or rating here on myLot. Just an idea & thought to all who read/reply to this topic. If you're serious about making money or are the type that worries about your points/rating then heed this suggestion. Post good and informative/interesting topics & avoid mundane short ones. That goes for replies also. try to be very descriptive. Post comments on friends photos if you have the time. Sorry about the babbling but I had to get this out to the members here. Thanks for bearing with me & enjoy your time here on myLot. I know I do as I'm now officially an addict of myLot. LOL. Have a great day all & I'm looking forward to your comments here & other palces on myLot. Thanks again for stopping by my page. Gawd I sound like an advertisement for myLot. Maybe they should pay me even more. HAHAHA. Bye all.

refer friends and they will pay you more. That is if they are active too. The important thing is you are having fun.

And i make a point of giving you a negative rating you suck. You know im kidding lol. I even try to always select a best response too.

You know that with me staying home the most friends I have are from the A.A. club. I sent my brother & his wife my link etc & they haven't join the punks. Happy postings from Daddy

Hi Granpa!!
I give all those people who answer my discussions with a plus because most of them are sensible intelligent answers and I feel that in so doing they deserve a plus.
I don't know if anyone has given me a minus in the past, how does one tell?
I always post and answer as though the person I am sending my message too or is sending me one, is standing in front of me and we are having a face to face discussion.
Would you really say obscenities to someone face to face if you were in a normal conversation? I doubt it unless it lead from some argument beforehand.
So to me I respect people and their point of view so long as they will respect and accept mine.......however I do like to have a chuckle now and again with someone and this is sometimes rather difficult if one is not face to face unless one uses the old 'LOL' or 'hehehe'!!
An interesting post 'Gramps' and I'm looking forward to chatting again sometime.

The rating system is supposed to be based on if the person responding or asking the question has made a worthy input to the discussion or to mylot in general with their topic. It was never meant to rate whether you agree or disagree with them. Which I think a lot of people are confused about.

Oh I know what you mean as I've read the faqs etc fully here now. But there are some that do feel it's all right to minus a topic they dislike. Like I said I don't think I'd ever rate a topic a minus. I may do that to a reply possibly. But not the topic itself. Thanks again for a great reply. Bye & have fun here.

I have given a few minuses when they have been insulting, rude and occasionally when the response is intentionally inflammatory. A couple of times when I get my email responses and I get a really nasty one I make a mental note to give that response a (-). When later I go in to the discussion the response has already been deleted and I can see from other responses that the nasty one has either been reported or given negative rating

I do the same for my email notifications as far as going to myLot & knwoing who started new discussions. Thanks for the response also.

I ahve given a couple of minus ratings but only when the person is being realy rude or bile for no reason. I think a lot of time people forget that they have asked for an opinion and if someone gives them one they dont like the give it a minus. I give almost everyone a pluss even if I dont agree with them because they gave their opinion, and that is what I asked for. I rate everybody, even if I cant respond to them all they all get a rating. Have fun and good luck !

I hadn't even thought of the comments to photos! Thanks for the idea, I will have to start doing that.
As for negatives, I have marked a few that were completely rude or one-liners, or did not contribute anything at all to the post.
LOL, they should pay you more for this discussion, hehe!

I have to get to friends pages & rate some pics also. Its just this email deal is irritating me to a poitn. HAHAHAHA. I wish they would. Depending on the discussions we get paid from 1 to 3 cents each. I think Ive gotten a lot of 3 cent posts.
