Whenever I want to start a new discussion, I will try my best to put something which I think will interest other myLot members. I write all about what I think honestly, and from my experience or anything that I feel should need member's opinion on that particular issue.

Normally, I start discussions about things that are on my mind. I don't start a lot of discussions though. I do have a lot of things on mind but I usually prefer just commenting on other discussions.

I have no fixed criteria. If I feel that a certain issue is worth the posting of a new discussion, up it goes. The newspapers is my most regular source of inspiration. There is no end to the amount of topics you can generate from reading the newspapers or magazines.

The topics for my discussions would usually come from my previous experiences, experiences of people close to me, and the usual topics that my friends and I would usually discuss or debate about. Sometimes, the memory starts as a 'spur-of-a-moment thing' and I will write my thoughts down. Most of the time, my discussions would require one to think, so either the respondent shares well, or the response is from someone who would just respond for the sake of responding. Nevertheless, I just want to post discussions, and not aim for them to be answered by many.

I believe the discussion needs to be of your interest, only then you will be able to give post some quality discussion on mylot. I have started very few discussions and they are either the creation of my interest or my need to clarify certain doubts or to know more/gain knowledge about a specific topic.
