What is global warming ? Are yoou afraid about global warming

I exactly don't know what is global warming. I read some where that the Sun is coming towards earth and the distance between Sun and earth is reducing each year and this results a very huge increase in the temparature. It will result melting of Ice in Himalaya and Antartica and this leads to complete destruction of the world. Is it true or foolishness

I heard that Global warming is Due to the increase of CO2 in the Atmosphere. Its Due to pollution from vehicles. I now header from u that sun comes closer to earth. But no need to worry. It may take thousands of years to reach a position that harm us.
