Well being from INDIA i get to hear all sort of indian names but the wierdest one that i thought were also funny in our language was...... BALATHIRUPARASUNDARI (A TRANSLATION OF THIS NAME FROM TAMIL TO ENGLISH WOULD MEAN - BALL SPINNING BEAUTY)

more funny than weird but, my dad knew a guy named Sherlock Holmes - no kidding. I guess his parents thought it would be sweet to name their son that. haha

Years ago we had a patient. Young girl, beyond beautiful. Her name...Ildico (Pronounced...Ill-dic-o) I forget what nationality she was. But that name has always stuck in my head.
