how do u get kids to want to brush their teeth???

I have recently found a ....wait for it.... toffee flavoured tooth paste for kids, so far my two cant get enough of it, i think it may be the answer you have been looking for. Its made by colgate too so it must be good blessed be

I don't know..maybe a reward when he does brush his teeth, maybe a sticker chart where he gets a sticker every time he bruches. My kids always love to brush their teeth, every time my son goes into the bathroom he cries if I don't let him brush for a few minutes. I guess it is a good thing but it gets annoying!

There are a few things I would try, there is toothpaste that tastes like bubble gum, there is toothpaste with sparkles, etc. Look for something in the stores to make it more fun, like the musical toothbrush, mentioned above. There is also a rinse that turns the teeth a redish color if there is plaque, he may like to watch his teeth turn white again. Also, I would take him to the dentist to see if maybe he already has a cavity. He may be feeling some pain when he has to brush, and that may be why he puts up so much of a fight. I started brushing my childrens teeth as soon as they started coming in. I never had a problem with the kids brushing because they were used to it.

I know that they have different flavoured adult toothpaste but if they have them in kids to try that or let him pick out a kids toothpaste to use. If he doesnt use it just sit down with him and explain that if he doesnt brush his teeth all of his teeth will fall out and will not grow back. Or tell him that when he does he gets a treat like a flavoured milk or something healthy. My son is not at the brushing teeth stage he has got teeth but not enough to brush them he only has two and when he gets a couple more then i will start brushing them. He is not having sugar or anything yet just milk and baby foods.

There is a toothbrush called tooth tunes. It plays a 2 minute song. I knoe our local Wal Mart has them, they have fun song choices too. YMCA, Cheeta Girls, etc. Try that.

There are lots of different toothbrushes that do fancy things: sing or have characters floating inside. It may be more of an issue with the actual brushing. Has he been to the dentist? There may be pain or sensitivity involved. Other than that, a reward system might work too.

I know I had some problems when Sky was 3..he went threw this stage that he didnt want to either,,soo one day he saw a neighbor that came here to fix something and this guys teeth was soo nasty!! They are black and blusih..rotted all to heck..make me want to yack!!! and that night i tld Sky that if he didnt brush his teeth that they would rot like his...he got out of bed..ran to my bathroom and brushed the heck out of them!!soo maybe introduce pics of people with bad teeth from the internet..dont bring up anythign to do with Dentist and how much it will hurt if he has to drill..he will get scared..a friend did that..ohh my!1 they have probs with seeing the Dentist now!! And has he been to the Dentist?? maybe seeing one and haviun hum talk to him.will help..wish ya luck!!
