13 weeks is a very delicate age for a pup. AS much as possible, you should be strict on his diet while he is in the developing stage. And for what I know cat food has low amount of protein and also high in cholesterol, carbo, and some other junk which are not recommended to our canine friends. Another is that I've read in some discussion that cat food can cause kidney stones and kidney failure. Last is that dogs and cats have different nutritional needs, so feeding a dog cat food (or vise versa) is definitely not good. Ask your vet about it and he'll give you the same advice.

Cat food and dog food is pretty much the same, only difference may be the fat content and the amount of howle grains and greens.

I have 2 dogs and one is a lab/cocker mix and he will eat anything and acts like he is hungry all the time. I had to put the cat food up on a table so he couldn't reach it because I couldn't keep him out of it. And I too have read and been told by the vet that cat food is high in fat and can cause digestive problems if they eat enough of it. Good luck with this.

ITS NOT AT ALL A PROBLEM... a dog whatever may be the breed attains its maximum size by 1.5 years so at the younger age the pup tends to eat more and more, it needs a lot of protein, carbohydrates.Cats food and dogs food doesnt differ much,it differ mainly in flavour and protein content ANY DOUBTS ABOUT PUPS ASK ME IM A VETERINARY DOCTOR
