What motivates you mostg to exercise? I have a hard time getting myself in the habit.

I also have a hard time with this. What motivates me is when I say to myself I'll do this for myself just today, and it really does make me feel better about my health, I feel good about myself and this attitude motivates me by just living in the day with each day that comes. After doing this for a while, even though I don't feel like exercising at the moment, the action of going through the motions gives me momentum to keep going. After all, we all should think of exercise as something our body needs by experiencing feeling good, not something that we don't enjoy, by having fun at what we like to do, we'll continue to do it. I hope this helps. Good luck.

My motivation is my 14 month old son. Running after him is good exercise! Plus, he gets really bored in the house, so we go out to the park every day which means I have to carry him back home, which is up the side of a volcano!

I am in the same boat too. Ineed to shed atleast 10Kgs but its just hard to go out for excersise. I ahve two kids to care for and they take up all my time. My hubby however makes time for his work outr and has controlled his weight remarkably. I wish there was somone even I could leave my kids too and go and do the work out. my schedule is as it is tiering and hence I do skip the excersise so often.

you are right about it being a habit and once you have got a habit going it is easier to do. i think it takes about 2 weeks for something to become a habit. make a timetable that includes the time you are going to excersise in a day and stick to it after 2 weeks it will be a habit and easier to do.
